Each year we come together as a club for the Spring Championships (inc. the Luke Jeffers Memorial Trophy), usually in March or April, and again in October for the Autumn Championships.
The events that are swum at the two events differ, with one be more biaised towards sprints and the other more towards longer races, but this will be advised some months in advance.
The Club Championships are a great opportunity for all swimmers to participate, from the less experienced to our own "elite" swimmers. Its a chance to have fun, put all the hard training into practice, to be inspired at the speed and performance of our top swimmers, and also to to stake your claim on one of our championship medals.
The club championship rankings, medal positions, age group winners and ultimately the Club Champion is decided upon by accumulating the FINA points achieved from each event that every swimmer participates in during the championship galas, that's both spring & autumn added together. In essence, the more events you participate in, the more chance you have in winning an award.
