SQUADS

  • ACADEMY

    For swimmers who are developing swimming skills and fitness along with a correct attitude and commitment to training. They should be willing to compete for the Club and at external competitions as well as entering Club Championships and looking to move up squads. Training within this squad is a minimum of 1 session per week, increasing to 2, and ideally building to 3 sessions before being progressed to the pre-competition squad.

  • PRE COMP

    This squad is for those swimmers who are starting to compete yet still require some technique and/or stamina development. Aiming for the Competition Squad, they will be expected to show commitment to both training and competing to move up. (This will be in the opinion of the Coaching Team). Training within this squad is a minimum of 2 sessions per week, ideally 3 to 4 sessions.

  • COMPETITION

    Swimmers must attend a minimum of 4 sessions per week and be willing to compete for the club and regularly at Open Meets and also at the Club Championships. These swimmers should be aiming for County Squad and will be expected to show full commitment to their training at all times.

  • COUNTY

    This squad is for swimmers aiming for County Qualifying times. Either having attained County Consideration times or in the opinion of the Coaches, are potentially capable. They must show full commitment to attending and training in each session to their best ability. Criteria to train with this squad are a minimum of 4 sessions, aiming for 5 or 6 and they must compete for the Club and at external meets regularly as well as all Club Championships.

  • REGIONAL

    This squad is for swimmers having achieved or capable of achieving Regional Qualifying times. Criteria to train with this squad is an expected minimum of 5/6 sessions per week, full commitment to their training at all times, and are capable of obtaining County Qualifying times, having already obtained Consideration times. They must regularly compete throughout the season FOR the club as well as individually competing at all the Club Championships and the Luke Jeffrey Memorial Trophy 50m Sprint.

  • MASTERS

    One lane is available for Masters all who should be over 19 years of age and capable of swimming with 3 good strokes and doing 2000-2500m in a session.
